The founding father of Revolver entertainment is Justin Marciano, who made the company's creation possible in 1997. Since then it has become one of the UK’s leading UK film distributors; being listed at number 14. It has also been credited for being the 20th largest home entertainment publisher. However Revolver Entertainment didn’t just get to the place they are at by luck. They had made sure they had all sorts of background skills ranging from distribution, production, broadcasting, journalism, public relations, marketing, creative and advertising. The company has also chosen to expand their range of films by producing French noir films even though they are situated in the UK.

2008 can be seen as the most successful year for the company, as they have managed to release 15 melodramatic films along with 50 entertainment titles. Revolver entertainment continues to keep on track and stay in the bright light from their outstanding creativity. They have recently won an award for their first ever live action digital 3D movie.

Another unique part which stands out with this company is that they use their film premiers as a chance to help many charities which they support by turning the premiers into fund raisers, where all the money earned goes into schemes to help the well being of people all around the world. A great example was when they released a DVD called ‘the best comedy DVD in the world’ to help those affected by the tsunami in 2004. In under 12 months they managed to raise an outstanding total of one million pounds.

The films which Revolver entertainment have produced and released within the UK are:
Kidulthood, Tell no one, Chunky monkey, zombie diaries, My brother is an only child, Taxi to the dark side and many others.
After expanding their production in America, they have been able to spread their power across the Atlantic and expand their empire of film production. A number of films produced in America are: Saving grace, Farce of the penguins, The wackness and many others.

The Creativity and the uniqueness of the company has led them to being nominated in both the Oscar and Bafta awards, and they still continue to win awards. They have recently joined an alliance with Image entertainment, and both companies are now in partnership. This will help widen their production, distribution and advertisement in other countries and help expand their empire in the media industry.
