What is web 2.o and how does it affect me?
• Web 2.0 is a living term which describes the changing trends in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to enhance creativity, information sharing, collabration and the functionality of the web.
• It is mainly used by young adults aged between 16 and 25.
• It allows the user to be much more creative; as they can create their own blogs, post their own views and communicate with people which they may know.
• Web 2.0 has over 80,000,000 sites with over a billion users across the world.

How does web 2.0 affect me as a producer, consumer and a student of the media?

• Web 2.0 uses a fast internet connection which benefits me as I don’t have to wait long for different pages on the internet to load up, so if I am doing something important it is more time efficient.
• It offeres me a huge variety of sites which I can access easily and use to gather information, communicate with friends and many other things.
• There are many social networking sites such as msn and facebook which allow me to communicate with people that I know.
• There is a greater choice of sites which allow me to download music, videos and other things.
